About
Born in Edinburgh in 1999, Amy Harrison focuses on mapping physical, virtual, and theoretical space. Whilst studying a Bachelors in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, she began creating site-specific interventions which alluded to the surrounding invisible and imaginary spaces.
She then remained in Dundee to study a Masters in Art & Humanities, where her practice focused on blurring boundaries between the viewer, artwork, and environment. Harrison’s interventions investigated the overlapping of real and virtual worlds and invited the audience to become part of a phenomenological environment.
After completing her undergraduate degree, she has exhibited in the Hidden Door Festival and the annual RSA New Contemporaries at the Royal Scottish Academy in 2023. Harrison has also been creating three-dimensional renders for commercial architectural practices to allow clients to envision their spaces before construction.
